Wine and Oyster Tastings
North Andover, MA

 

Beginning Tuesday, April 6, 2010 and continuing through April 27, 2010 Burtons Grill in North Andover, MA will be offering “Wine & Oyster Tastings” in their lounge area.  Every Tuesday night for the month of April from 5:00pm to 7:00pm guests can enjoy a complimentary oyster from Cape Cod, MA along with a white wine pairing featuring wines from California, Spain and South Africa. Every additional oysters will be offered for $1.00 (5:00pm to 7:00pm) and the featured wines will be available for purchase for the entire week (Tuesday through Monday). Whether you are a wine or food enthusiast, this is a great opportunity to enhance your knowledge about quality wines with friends!

Sauvignon Blanc, Seaglass, California
This exceptional Sauvignon Blanc is the perfect pairing with shellfish!
Filed with vibrant, tropical flavors, it’s crisp and refreshing. The Seaglass vineyard is nestled in the rolling hills of Santa Barbara where the cool ocean breezes and fog allow the grapes to ripen slowly to fully develop their wonderful flavors.

 

Albarino, Legado del Conde, Spain
Spain’s most popular white! Crisp and lively and wonderfully aromatic- an enjoyable alternative to usual white wine choices!  Located in the North of Spain near the Atlantic coast, the native grapes benefit from the coastal climate conditions. 

 

Chenin Blanc, Man Vineyards, South Africa Chenin Blanc is probably the most versatile of all white grape varieties! This wine is from South Africa and is rich with tropical flavors and melon aromas.  Vineyards are located along the coast in the most Southern tip of South Africa. 

 

Chardonnay, Hess, California America’s most popular white varietal!  This chardonnay is classic, medium bodied, refreshing and lush with pineapple and green apple notes.
